Hello. I installed many new upgrade parts for my cx2, all of which work flawlessly. Ok. So. I had to remove the 3 in 1 in order to work on it. Now the problem occurs. The heli constantly rotates to the right, (not cyclic!) anyway. so i tried to adjust the 3 in 1 but I cant find any combonation that works. I know that I plugged all of the wires in correctly. Oh, and when I give it left rudder, it begins to stop spinning counter-clockwise, but barely any.
I am thinking I need to use the OL binding plug. What do you guys think????
thanks for your help!

You might start by adjusting your gyro/proportional pot. If I remember correctly, the CX/CX2 has a 4-in-1 unless you did some modifications so the 3-in-1 was kind of confusing. Also a list of modifications would help, especially if there were any electronic modifications.

oh haah im sorry. I meant 4 in 1 lol Um I bought the larger outer and inner shafts, bearing holders, flybars, boom, and thats it. I have more stuff coming tomorrow though.
what I am confused about is how the heli has so much rudder and I cant get it out. I have never seen this on a heli before!
thanks for the help

your proportional is probably way off. unplug, turn the gain knob on the 4n1 all the way couterclockwise, turn proportional knob a tiny bit counterclockwise, center rudder trim, plug back in, and fly. if it still turns right, land, rinse and repeat. if it turns left, turn clockwise instead. when it doesn't turn on you anymore, start adding gain until you get it how you like it. oh yeah, and always make these adjustments with a fresh battery.

hmmm. Im playing with it right infront of me. It does help it get a little more right rudder, but, it isnt enough to turn it very much.- and the proportional and gain are both as far counter-clockwise as possile. when I give it full left rudder the lower main blade spins at full throttle like it should, but when i give it right rudder, there is not much rpm increase in the upper mains.
ugh. I am a plane guy so this is verrrryyy frustrating!

oh yeah, and when i give it full right rudder at low rpm the heli barely rotates, but when I give it lots of throttle and give it full right ruddr, the rpm of both blades drop and the heli drops like a rock, but thankfully i am holding the boom

1) the inner shaft is binding somewhere
2) the gear mesh between the lower gear and it's pinion is too tight
3) the motor that drives the lower gear is going bad
you can check the first 2 by removing the motor that drives the inner shaft (not sure if it's the left one or the right one). check to see if the upper blades spin freely while the motor is removed. if it does, reinstall the motor making sure the mesh is loose. if that doesn't work, try replacing the motor.

well
let me see
im playingwith it as we speek
well a week ago one of the small antennas broke off so i took the case of the 4 in 1 apart and soldered it carefully.
so it seems that its ok since everything works
maybe i have the leads in wrong????
idk
but
like i said, when i give it full rright rudder at low throttle the top blades spin, and bottoms dont.
as i increase throttle and maintain full right rudder, the top blade stays the same rpm, but the lower picks up rpm,, thus i cant turn
Its like i have exponential values.... only reverse????

your heli is acting the way it is simply because the upper blades are not spinning fast enough to keep up with the lower ones. usually binding on the inner-shaft, tight lower gear mesh, or a bad motor (the motor that drives the lower gear) are the cause of the upper blades not spinning fast enough.
you did some work installing your new shafts, so there could be some binding on the inner-shaft. usually binding on the inner-shaft is caused by a bent inner-shaft, a sticking inner-shaft bearing, or a bearing that is not aligned well in its holder.
it is also possible that, while reassembling your cx2, you may have installed the motors with a tight gear mesh. there should be some play between the pinion and spur that is noticeable with the naked eye. if there is no noticeable play, tight gearmesh is probably the cause.
i doubt it's the motor since your problem started immediately after your upgrades. however a weak upper blade motor will result in a weak right rudder.

It's pretty normal to have one blade spin if you have the throttle stick all the way right, then start adding throttle. If you throw the stick the other way, the other blade will spin by itself when you add throttle. I actually do this as a check before each flight. What matters is how they spin when the stick is in the middle. Really seems like something is binding.

I personally want to thank all of you for your help.
When I get home, Im gois strait to my baby.
I understand the binding possibility, and its probably the culprit, but I guess in the back of my mind I am scared that I damaged the 4 in 1. Like i stated earlier, when one of the antennas broke at the joint, I opened up the case, and soldered that baby right back where it was. The only problem was that when I plugged it in a little smoke came out[:@] i know all of you are shaking your heads right now, but those dam cirucits are so freakin small!!!! lol. No really though, everything seems to work fine other than the rudder issue, and Ill look for binding issues later
ohhhhhh wait. I do remember soaking the bearings in a medium-gel silicone lubricant. oh crap. maybe theyre all stiff. [:'(]
