Are there any horror stories out there in regards to purchasing cx/cx2/cp/cpp helis on ebay? With my limited knowledge, it seems that some major problems could be hard to detect without actually flying the heli(no matter how descriptive the seller is). I have purchased many other non-related items and usually get what I pay for. The listings here seem a bit higher??

I bought a CX2 from Hobb-e-mart and was very happy with it. It was listed as used, but everything looked brand new when i got it. Flew like a champ out of the box, took all of 3 minutes of tweaking to get hands off hover. I thought this one flew better out of the box than the one I bought from my LHS.

I dont know about the CX, but keep in mind that the CP or CP Pro will "loosen up" after a lot of use. This will make it sloppy and a lot harder to control.
On the other hand, if this happens, you can replace out the problem parts. If you are new, you are probably going to be replacing them when you wreck anyway.
I actually had a very good experience buying my second CP Pro used for $150. Another guy in a hobby shop said it flew terribly and that he was buying a T-Rex. So i bought it cheap. When I got it home, I followed the instructions on bladecprepair.com to readjust everything from the swashplate upwards. In the end, it flew better than my original blade.
Hope that helps,
Danny

i won my cp from hobb-e-mart as well
I have had an aggrivating week trying to get my heli right but it could have been new from eflite with the weird issues I have had. I will say 100% that every phone call I have made about my cp to hpbb-e-mart has been a good call. Those guys have really tried to make sure that I was satisfied with my purchase.
Thanks to trevor from hobb-e-mart for all his patience with my troubled bird. After a week of aggrivation and some dumb luck I figured out my little quirks and flew my bird for the first time tonight!!!!

Hey Venom, I just got mine from hobbe mart as well. I know you had probs with your from the "Weeeee!!!!!!!!Cp " thread. The one I got said "unused" just like yours. They have a great rating on ebay so I am cautiously optimistic about my purchase. BTW, it is the 1st item I have purchased from ebay so that makes me twice as cautious. But for the price, I figured I can't go too wrong.

I put a bid in for $105 at the very last second and won it. $15 in shipping & I have an "unused" CP for $100 less than retail. I think I did OK. Item # was 160090785128

I got mine for $141 plus the $15..still not a bad deal at all. I think mine was a worst case scenario, so when you get yours you know arrow/crash/and now myself are educated enough to help you troubleshoot it! LOL

I bought a cp pro of ebay load with parts and extras and a gyro two lipo 1320 batteries ,chargers for 360.00Can. Everything was mint. Just ask lots of question and check there feed back. Two many negatives one might want to look else where. Also shipping can be a killer so check that as well.
