ive been trying to fly my cx2 outside in light wind and im not being able to fly foward very well if i face it into the wind it just keeps going up and back if i keep power to it.i tried to switch holes on the servos but it really flew eratic with blade clack.i switched the servos back .now when flying inside it will fly foward for a while then pullup on its own,ive just replaced the inner and outer shaft so i know there not bent, would a shorter flybar help me fly into the wind better, thanks for the help

I found that if you adjust the linkage that comes of the servo arm (the balck bit) works well.
Just look at whcih way the swash plate works when you push forward on the stick, then just turn the black bit a circle and see what happens.
Also the carbon fiber boom helps alot

i've had some issues with light wind also. it has to be REALLY light to fly well. i have my linkages in the second hole on the servo arm and i can fly reasonably well. just don't let off the forward to quick when going into the wind. this usually results in a scary uncontrollable nose up and almost inverted flight. let off slowly and you can maintain control. you'll have to keep the stick forward to maintain position when flying into the wind. it's challanging, but very fun.

my curiosity makes me wonder that if you can manage to take on the wind and pull back while going into the wind...perhaps you can pull off a loop??? just a thought

hehe yea the cx is a challange in the wind, and at times fun to fly in the wind. You got a few things against you though with the wind and blade cx.
One is that there are two rotors to push into the wind
Two is that they are fix pitched. They are not going to feather in the wind like a collective pitch. This causes more drag and causes you to float
Three is that there is only one rotor actually causing the chopper to go forward, the second one is there for the ride.
I have heard of guys putting a small weight into the front of the blade cx on windy days. This will give you lots of forward leaning that is needed for the wind. Also full forward trim is recommended.
In regards to the loop into the wind, i have a cut flybar that i use out side. Makes the blade cx unstable, but fun. I have gotten the noise on full pull back to point straight up in the air. The rest ended in a crash.
