I was wondering if it was possible to get a short list of compatable servo's for the BCP for those of us thinking of upgrading out of the stock S75 equiptment.
how do they compare to the stock S75's?
TowerPro G-90 (are these compatable?)
HiTec HS-55
JR (not sure what brand works but there is one)

vortex05,
In the May issue of RCHEli magazine, there is an article about John Adam's pro's. He says he uses the S60 servos from e-flite. They are called digital in the article, but they aren't (I called Horizon and verified this.) The guy I spoke with said he had put them in, and they worked better than the S75's. The S60 is the one used in the CX2. They are plug and play.
I use the JR sm22 "sport" servos. I had to file down the tabs to get them to fit. They seem to be pretty good, too. I don't know about the reversing, (didn't pay attention) as I use a DX7 w/AR6100 Rx.
BTW, John Adams is technical director of Spektrum/Horizon

Vortex05,
Thing to be careful about is servo direction, I know that the HS55's turn the opposite direction than the S75's and can't be used with the stock Tx,, Unless you reverse 4 wires in the servo case. (Not a problem with a programmable TX) Something to consider down the road... Don't know about the direction of the others.

i 2nd the jr-sm22's. i use them and they are much more solid than the s75's. just hold one in your hands an try to move the servo arm and you can feel how solid the gearing is. along with an aluminum swash, they help lock in hover. imo, they also help you get what you pay for when you start playing wth pitch curves on a programmable tx. by that i mean with the s75's i hardly noticed a 10% or less change in pitch curve. with the sm-22's improved centering and resolution, i'm feeling changes as little as 5%.
not the best servo out there, but for the price...
vortex, i believe the 60's are lighter and faster, and have pretty much the same torque (60's are like 0.1 ozin less). the 60's have weak gearing imo for heli use though. keep in mind servo directions as dave mentioned. might be time to consider a 9C.
