I could be wrong(not much experience with spektrum based radios) but after a minute looking threw google it seems to be a little plug you use to link the reciever to the the transmitter.

It's used to "link" or "bind" your TX w/ your RCVR. It also programs the failsafe. Use the instructions in the manual to ensure you have bound the TX to the RCVR.

thanks i have looked thru the manual and could find nothing on it but will look again. i found it thanks. guess it is really important thank you
