So this past weekend I'm flying with no issues...on my 3rd or 4th battery pack...and then all of the sudden my copter just fell right out of the sky. None of the controls would respond. As soon as I picked it up I gave it throttle and the blades started spinning. I remember right before seeing one of my neighbors on his porch talking on a cordless phone. It's the only conclusion I can draw at this point. I felt really lucky.....broke the skids all 4 sets of blades and bent the inner and outer shaft and that was it.........well the stabilizer bar is shot too. I was just curious if anyone else has seen this kind of behavior. I was lucky I was only 20-25 ft up...but the damn thing laded straight down in the middle of the road. It's amazing I don't have more to replace......So now flying at home is off limits if the neighbors are home?......say it aint so......

i've flown my cx2 in my house with my fiancee on the phone in the next room with no issues. i've never heard of any inerference problems with these digital systems. that is thier big selling point. i have had glitching issues with other r/c vehicles (am and fm) and none of them went completely dead instantly. usually its a loss of control, like a car steering to the right on it's own. i'd check my electrical connections if my heli died and fell out of the sky. also, you mentioned you were on your 3rd or 4th pack. did you let it cool down between flights? you may have had a heat issue in the 4 in 1. just a thought.

I've never seen that happen either. Was the bird up off the ground a good bit? I suppose it's possible it could have caught a gust of wind and blade clack knocked it out of the air. I have seen that happen, and once the CX/2 has enough "falling momentum" no amount of input from the pilot will save it.

Depending on how high/far away you were, you may have gotten out of radio range. Remember, these radios dont have a huge range on them, at least not the kind sold with the CX2.
