Contemplating installing a Gyro for the CPPro, has the BL main motor. E-flite G90---Futaba GY401 (heavy 27g & costly) but can do it---Logictech 2100T---Hitech HG500.
Help would be appreciated.

ELC,
Okay, I did a little looking for you. The fuatba and the last Logitech you mentioned come with servos and cost more, the hi-tech I couldn't find.
I've heard of people using a telbee and liking it. They compare it to the G90, but without digital output, I think, IIRC.
I use the G90, light and relatively inexpensive.

I recently installed a g90 on my CPP and my experience has been that it drifts a lot and on spin up, from 0 to very little throttle input the tail rotor goes berserk and is trying to spin the heli (while it is still on the ground). Some left rudder makes the tail stop but it intermittently will go nuts. I think I may have a bad gyro, but am working through some other issues before I am able to tweak it and test. I have searched the forums and have not read of anyone having a similar experience with a g90 so it is very p9ossible I am an exception.

My G90 is reasonably stable, drifts a little to the right when the battery is fresh, and gradually goes to the left as the voltage decreases. Readjusting the trim once or twice in one flight will take care of that. Also, it is sensible to temperature changes. If you initiate the gyro indoor, and go fly outdoor, it will become unstable if the temperature dfference is more than 15 degrees. But overall, I am satisfied with it.

When you use logictech 2100T, you need some specialized servos to maximize the performance.
Of course, 6100G(servo) is the best servo which is rather expensive. However, If you want a cheap servo matched with 2100T, you need to buy w-060BB(waypoint).
Logictech officially informed that the w-060BB is a matched servo. You need to change the servo speed to a matched servo mode(the second one).
In the servo speed option,
The first LED means LTG-6100G. The second LED means a matched servo, W-060BB. The third LED means a common servo mode.
If you don't have 6100G or W-060BB, the servo speed mode must be a common servo mode. That means that the other servo does not show a good performance of 2100T.
According to Logictech, the performance is as follow ;
6100G >>> W-060BB > The other servos...
However, they told me 2100T and W-060BB also shows a very good performance.

Well I guess the 2100T is out of the question, the servos I have are the DX7 DS285, I believe they are digital. The Futaba gyros maybe my option.
Thanks for the input on 2100T, if you find out about the DS285's , let me know.
Thanks.

My g90 hold great with a new tail motor but tends to lack as soon as any time gets on the motor.
If you are budget minded, pick up a g90 used for about $65 ish like I did.
If you know you are moving up eventually, just get the gy401.
I say this cause i just ordered one for a t-rex and it kinda bites that I'm buying a gyro again but the Internet gremlins have me convinced that the gy401 is a essentail for the rex.
So $65 ish on g90 , coulda went to the gy401.
