Default Blade CX2 Wobble

It finally happened, been flying my new CX2 for about three months now without a mishap. This evening I was flying outside, it was fairly calm except for the brief little gust of wind that brought my CX2 down. I cut the power to save the gyro and only lost the tip of one of the upper blades. I replaced the the upper blade and now I have a wobble or vibration when I power up. Once I get the CX2 in the air in flies very normal. It's just when I start the initial power up and before lift off that the helicopter shakes intensely. What should I look for and where should I start looking? Or, don't worry about in and just get it into the air and fly?

Is it tough to tear down the head assembly, this is my first?
Thanks everyone for your help.

Tearing down the rotor assembly is very easy to do. The diagram of parts in the back of your manual will be quite helpful! As for your wobble, I would start by making sure the flybar is nice and straight and that the weights are pulled out to the ends of the bar. Next move on to removing the inner shaft and rolling it on the edge of a table to check for wobble. It's really easy to bend just the tip of the inner shaft. Even the slightest bend will cause wobble. If that checks out move on to the outer "main" shaft and repeat the rolling test. Unless the swashplate is blown (unlikely), it's gonna be one of those 3 things causing the wobble. I wouldn't continue flying any bird that has a head wobble, as head speed increases it's only going to get worse and worse. It's not as big of a deal on these coaxial birds, but on a collective pitch heli bends are baaaaad, wobbles = death.

Thanks xeos, new to heli's but having a great time. The first crash is always the worst. And helicopters seem a little more challenging mechanically to get tore down and set up correctly. Will give your suggestions a try. Probably be a slow go this first time. thanks again.

When you replaced that damaged blade, did you check the balance? From your description I don't think you bent anything.

I find a significant difference in weight in the blades. I use a micro scale (very cheap on eBay) to weigh them, and aluminum foil tape or gaffers tape to match them, writing the weight on the underside of the blade for reference. You can also remove both blades from the head, attach them to each other, and check the balance over a small round object, such as a round pencil. Add tape to the lighter one to match them.

They really need both static (weight) and dynamic balance to make it fly really smooth; this takes practice in where to apply the tape.

When I purchase a set of blades I balance the lot ahead of time so they are all matched to the heaviest one. Upper blades do not weigh the same as lower.
