Default CX2 Question

I want to change my rudder control from the left side of the radio to the right. Can it be done....?
I saw a video on youtube with a guy having his radio set up that way.

so you want a mode 1 controller, like a european style?

as far as I know you can do it, you would either have to switch the wires on the pots from one side to the other (the pot that sits cross ways, not the one that sits up and down), or switch the pots from one side to the other (I would check to see that they have about the same resistance before doing that), so it would be a pretty envolved mod. Chances are if you are careful with it, even if it doesn't work you can change it back. Also for about 50 bucks you could just get another controller that is a mode 1 controller =)

I guess a mode 1 is what I am looking for?
I just want the throttle and rudder not to be on the same stick.

I'm sure you can request a Mode 1 transmitter. Contact your local hobby store and see what's available or could be ordered.

check that out for channel assginments. Basically how channel 1 differs from yours is that the rudder is on the right stick, and the cyclic left and right is on the left stick. I'm pretty sure that is what you are looking for.

ok, to go with mode 4, that will be easy because you wont have to move the throttle. On the inside there will be 2 electrical components next to each of the joysticks. what you are going to to is take the wire off of one of the pots that lays horizontally, and move it to the other joystick. Make sure to match up wire colors, and to test the resistance of each pot, and make sure you are getting the same readings. If you are, then you are all set =)
