Default Save a Bundle on CX-2 Blades !

If You want to save money; use electricians tape (you can get in all colors; Radio Shack has an asst. color pack) cut about 1/4 x 1 1/2" strips and put it on the outer most part of the leading edge of the upper and lower blades, where most all strikes happen. Fold it over half on top and bottom on the blade.

I've been practicing some advanced manuevers in my living room, and going through blades like they were going out of style; but afterwards; I've been flying with the same blades for a week; and had some bad hits.

After a particularly bad strike; I removed the tape thinking that the tape was the only thing holding the blade together. I was completely surprised that there wasn't even a nick or scratch on the blade !

I figure I've saved about $8.00 so far this week.

Look really cool, too; especially when You power up; You can see the different bands in the whirl.

I've noticed no difference in stability or hover; just cut the strips as closely the same size as possible. I split the width of the roll in half cutting with an exacto knife and cut perpendicular on the roll when I think long enough. Mine are yellow.

Try it. I'm also going to try someone else's suggestion and use that metallized duct tape made from aluminum. I've done a few blades and they look sharp! Especially after burnishing with the bottom of a smooth spoon.

Right. Just make sure to keep the blades balanced. It takes VERY little tape to throw the balance off. Thus, while you think you're cutting the tape pieces the same for each blade, it's a good idea to check the balance afterwards. Neall
