Blade CP Setup

lost......you should get the MicroHeli Auto Rotation gear for yours. I wouldn't mess with a stock hub. It comes with a collar and 2 set screws, allen wrench included too. When you are spooling down, it won't make your heli go all goofy (funky chicken)
I don't think I would trust just CA on a main gear, Lose that and the whole heli comes down quickly.

Sadly, the only options i know of is stock, duals and direct drive. It seems like there was a whole lot of bad DD motors sold recently. I have been sticking with the stock setup but do have a DD all ready to go, I was waiting for the stock one to go out, but haven't been able to fly the bladeCP. Luckily I just finished an outdoor flight with the CX2 and a good 5 min hovor session with the TREX.
There is a site that sells the same motor as the EFlite one for like 6.36 ea. I buy 3 at a time to make it worthwhile and to offset shipping. I think its like 5 bucks to the mailbox for shipping depending on where ya live. Heres the page with the motors and tail motors on it. I am flying both main and tail from these guys, and have not seen any difference in preformance or longevity. [link=http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id=V019752]Cheaper mains and tails[/link]

I bought the autorotation hub, and it didnt come with a set screw, or a place for a set screw. Just the hub and main gear.

To be edited!!.............................
Edit:
Lost........... I misdirected you.......... that collar comes with the MH strong steel shaft....... I have a extra set laying here I will send to you tomorrow. You do want the auto rotational gear, but of course you need a way to keep it in place. Pm me your vitals and I will toss it in the mail in the morning.........No charge as I am the one who made the mistake. It comes with 2 small spacers and one is wider than the other one......use the smaller one to get your gear mesh right. The thicker one is for the actual HDX300 heli frame. That space goes between your bottom main bearing and the gear. Pic 2 shows the set I am sending, let me know when you get it if ya need more help.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, now THAT makes sense to me.
Thanks for the offer, but I happen to have a bunch of those little collars with set screws. (Dont ask) I will see what I can get going tonight. I got the swashplate leveled lastnight, lets hope I dont have to move it to get the hub in the right place.
Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it!!

With the long shaft on that setup, it doesn't matter where you set the shaft on a BladeCP. Just make sure the servos are centered (motors Unplugged) at mid throttle and set up the head for 0 pitch. I had to adjust my pitch swash settings to make sure I wasn't bottoming out the swashplate at low stick and hitting the washout base at high stick. Did you ever see the hdx300 head setup video by finless bob? that will explain alot more than I can here. He is using the V1 head tho but the basics are all the same. Your swashplate height (ie servo links) are regulated by that. after its all set up then I tighten the upper main shaft collar then install the main gear and lower collar and loctite the grub screws. Then I go outside and crash it right away!
