CP/CPP Tail Upgrades

It has been a while since I've seen in depth analysis on the options here...dual N30's, brushed direct drive a la bladecprepair, or brushless. I have to do something with my CP and CPP...even with a good breakin thoses stock motors don't last long..I'd like to do something that is going to be reliable for a good long time...so I was thinking brushless ? Does anyone have the current info on the best solution here ?? and a current set of links if possible...I've done a fare amount of searching but the info I find is contradicting and very scattered. If I did the brushed solution offered on bladecprepair..how long can I expect the motor to last ? I'm not accomplished enough to do acrobatics..I'm just doing slow FF, circles and tight figure eights..so a good solid reliable tail is important to me...thanks for the help..

I have CP with brushless, flies great, more so with a programmable transmitter.
I have to say the transmitter was a great buy, didn't think it would make that much difference. IT DOES. Hard to spend over $200 when the Chopper didn;t cost that much in the first place.

If I were you, and reading how you're going to be flying I would go with the dual tail.
Basically here is the deal. The stock motor lasts max around 20 hours, but more likely 10 or so. The DD tail should last double that, I've only flown about 60 or so flights on my dual tail, but it is still going strong, but that's not the longest test period. I've read several cases with the dual tail where people fly it just about every day and it's lasted 7 months or so.
The brushless would probably last longer than the dual tail by a bit, but the problem with the brushless is it has lower power and takes longer to spool up, is heavier so it creates balance issues, and it's alot more expensive.
Over all just whatever you choose =)
I wrote up an article a couple of months back. It probably needs some updating, but I'll post it here so you can read it and see what info you can get out of it.

well when I tested the amp draws I got 0.91A for the stock, 1.26A for the dual, and I can't remember for the DD
The FET is a 7413 which can do up to 9.5A cont witha heat sink, up to 2.6w if I remember right without a heat sink
