I purchased a CP Pro last week and I am very impressed. I haven't flown a helicopter since the mid 80's, that was a Heli-Boy 30 size. I never got past the hovering stage with that before I sold it, at least it was in one piece. I am able to hover the CP for a complete charge with no problem, the controls seem very responsive and solid. I have grown tired of traveling 40 miles to the flying field to fly the planes, this is great to walk out in the backyard and fly I got in 4 flights today without leaving the house. I will have to find a little larger space for forward flight though. The only problem I seem to have is getting the tail rotor trim consistent, it seems like it changes every flight, I have 2 stock battery packs that I am using. Is this something common with this helicopter or I missing something? Thanks.

It is common with these tail motor driven helicopters. I have gotten use to it and just fly the tail as nessary.

Mine is the same. It changes as the battery runs down.

Thanks for the replies, it's not that bad. I figured it was normal, just have to get used to it. I want to put a heading hold gyro on it eventually anyway. I'm having too much fun with it right now to worry about it!

Hi Wilin, most say the plastic molded parts on the heli head just break during hovering flight, for no reason. I made roughly 50 flights with my CPP and never had a plastic part break. Below is a image of a aluminum head that I recommend, if u like your CPP enough and can fly it without crashing. I added the aluminum head cause, my heli has some 80 flights on it, without a single blade strike, much less a crash. The aluminum head has zero slack in it, heli fly's much better with it. If u add the HH gyro, u may wanna consider the twin tailmotor setup, image below. HH gyro will make those tail motors turn and burn. Most think the motors burn up, but I found most of the time, the motor bearing just gets out of place and doesn't allow the motor or motors to turn, I would do the smart thing and simply replace them. The main motor goes out after, roughly 25 to 35 flights. When the main motor goes out, I replace it along with the tail motors. I like to prevent crashes, not create them. The CPP, has broken many wallets, for numerous reasons. Treat your CPP and other heli's with total respect and you'll have a zero crash record like me.

Thanks for the response, can you tell me where you purchased the dual tail rotor motors? I have been reading some about it and it seems like a good idea. I am still at the hovering stage, I can hover tail in fine and move around my patio. I think I will practice some more with the sim before moving into forward flight and risking everything. I enjoy the CP, I think the heading lock gyro would make it a little more enjoyable though. Thanks again.

You can purchase tail motors almost anywhere, your LHS may have them in stock.
