A quick question from a newbie and apologies if this has been posted before. I have just acquired the beautiful little BLADE CX2 with the new 2.4Ghz Tx. Question............can I programme my FUTABA 7CH Tx. to operate this heli and if so what mods do I need to make?
Thanks for any input/advice.

That being said, you can purchase [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/RelatedParts.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1031&Category=Used%20 In...&SubCategory=]EFLH1031[/link] and use it just as mixer, gyro and ESC, then hook up your own receiver. I've done it to my blade cp with Spektrum technology.
I got mine from myrcsupply.com, and here is a link to it. [link=http://myrcsupply.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=10928]3 in 1.[/link] A bit cheaper than horizon. I encourage you to always check out prices from places other than horizon.
Hope that Helps!

No problem. I just happened to check it before taking my fiancee to work. The response time on here varies quite a bit, from minutes to days, so just keep that in mind and be patient in the future. Glad we could help.
Cheers,
Gene

hey gene, will that 3 in 1 work for a cx2? I dunno how the 4 in 1 mixes for that one, or how many amps the stock motors on the cx2 draw. I know they use the 7313 fets that are good for something like 6 amps if I remember right, but do they dual stack the fets? Or are the motors only good for less than 6 amps max draw each?

Oh my gosh man, I don't know ANYTHING about electrical draw. Perhaps I did the OP a disservice. If so, I apologize. I just figured it would work. I know people fly a cx[2] with spektrum, I figured this would work since it works for the CP.

it's all good =)

I imagine it is ok as far as the amp draw, but I dunno about the yawing motion or the collective motion... espeically without trying it =)
