Hello fellow CX'ers
Hi folks,
I've been lurking around the forums for a couple of weeks here learning about my new Blade CX. This forum has helped out tonnes when deciding what mods to go ahead with and how to fly the CX better.
So far I've done the following:
Vented canopy
Vented 4-1 (Huge difference in tail drift)
Alum upper head
Alum lower head
And thanks to the glowing reviews on here I've ordered a set of indestructable skids and a CF boom from boomtown hobbies. One thing that I have done differently is tightened up the left hand stick on the TX. Instead of flipping the metal tab over I bent it towards the stick so I dont have to constantly fight the throttle when I'm turning the heli, this made it much easier to fly in my enclosed space.

Good move on ordering the aftermarket tail boom. That's the best move you made especially if you're flying outdoors. I would get the heat sink for the motors as well.

If more is better,
then less is worse.
And none ain't better
than nothing.
I'd get the sink
and get the paste.
Then at least
you're doing something!

Sounds like the same sort o stuff I have done to my CX with exception of skids...that's next...also couldn't resist a little nostalgic paint job..
Anybody...what's the maximum flying weight w/training gear for best flight performance?

RE: Hello fellow CX'ers
I forgot to mention that I did install the heatsink last weekend. I noticed longer flight times and the motors could be touched after a 10 min flight. It must have added weight to the heli because I had to trim the throttle higher for normal flight.
Once I've installed the boom and skids I'll probably leave it as is until I decide if I want to persue the hobby. I have a bag with about 16 broken blades in it but I almost enjoy repairing the heli more that flying it, almost.
