ever notice that the darn cp seems to be tail-heavy?
i have a cp+ and 2 different fp's and they are all tail-heavy - some worse than others - why?
i can trim them out with a touch of forward, but that adds forward motion at hover
should i trim the weight to be right on the shaft - how? - move the battery box forward of the front skid mount? - put a chunk of lead into the front of the canopy?
the superskids work like a charm, btw - no more crash damage to the skids and underside - added a short piece of fuel tubing to the lail stick to keep the tail off the ground
i'd like to see a mod for protecting the tail rotor, maybe a stiff wire around the tail rotor, or better yet all the way around the tail rotor

I think a 1/2 round piece of wire, protecting the tail blade from underneath. No need to put one on the top 180.
But, that will make your heli even more tail heavy. Some have taken to trimming the tail boom some, just dont make it to short that the main blades and tail blades could wack each other.
Try to get balance by moving the battery as far forward as possible. It its still tail heavy, then yes, the slightest amount of weight in the front. Not to much, dont want to make the bird a pig.

i think its the superskids - they are heavy anyway and adding some tail weight - took off the fins, etc and just left on the boom braces - still a little front heavy - no way to mount the battery mofre forward unless i take it in front of the front skid mount, and that would make it nose heavy maybe - i'll try it and see what happens
thanks
