If your heart is set on a CP I would go with a the Belt CP. Belt driven tail rotor overall better design for a heli that size. Read through some of the posts and you will see alot of guys not happy with the Blade CP twitchy mean machines. However I cannot comment as I've never flown one .

I have heard that the helimax is not a very good heli, is this true?

If you have only flown the CX2. I understand the Falcon 40 and the Venom Night Ranger are good canidates for a 2nd heli being they are FP ( fixed pitch ) heli's. Stay away from adjustable pitch heli's such as the CPP.

buy a sim first,// learning how to fly on the computer is a lot cheaper,// i had good luck with my cp+,// just take it slow,// I flew for a month with training gear on. // look for a heli with a lipo battery,// much better flight times.
