Default update on problem

ok, I did everything to fix my heli but its still not fliying good. It flys ok and hovers great, but has no power. I can hover for 8 mins, but rises up very slowly with full throttle. Here is a list of everything I've done in replacements.
Note: I had this problem before all the upgrades, while everything was still stock. I installed one thing at a time and tested.

New xtreme motors
new inner and outer shaft
new bearings
new gears
new blades
new xtreme boom
New flybar

I've spent a whole week adjusting and readjusting this thing.

perfect blade balance
perfect blade tracking
perfect gear mesh
inner and outer shaft spin smoothly
30 min motor breaking
lock collar is loose (-1mm)
upperhead loose (-1mm)
strait flybar
fully charged batteries (3 of them) balanced at 8.4v with voltmeter.
perfect swashplate level
weight reduction
more air vents in canopy
installed brass step washer
CHECKED, CHECKED AND RECHECKED EVERYHTHING over 10 times.

Only two more things left to test. Extreme Blades and Silver Bushings for the motors, both are on order. I don't want to waist money on stock parts so I'm buying upgrades.
Is it possible that my 3-1 is bad or going bad? Is there a test I can do on the 3-1?

Could be the 3 in 1, but isn't that new? Anyone live near you to take a look at it? I can't believe after all that it has not improved.

Again I ask in hope for a reply. . .

HOW MUCH DOES THE HELI WEIGH WITH THE STOCK BATTERY? I bet You are too heavy for the battery.

If You are using stock batteries to lift a full metal jacket heli, then there You go! The Xtreme blade WILL help somewhat.

I'm not sure how to get my heli weighted. I guess I can take it to the post office and ask them.
I just highly doubt its the weight cause I was flying stock when this happened. I've just started upgrading to isolate the problem.
I will try and get it weighed tomarrow.

Alright, I have the weight.

232.46 grams with stock battery
189.94 grams without battery

Thats with all my upgrades, I can shave a couple of g's if I remove some stuff like the tail prop, extra tape, and some extra screws.

I read somewhere to keep it below 280g or that its the max it should fly at.

Do you know that the stock weight is?

Goldslinger,
I had to put the CF shaft on hold till i can get my heli flying right. I'll create a full complete update when my problems are fixed.

Your flying weights are coming out just right. My heavier CX2 is 225 grams and my lighter one is 195 grams.

Now, I will agree that with stock packs, I only get about 4 - 5 minutes of "real" flight time, The rest is just maintaining a hover and some very basic manuevers.

When I fly with a DN 15C pack or the Xtre,e 18C pack, I get full power throught my 10 minutes of flight. I never fly longer than that on a pack.

Okay, Thanks.

We're here to help.

Your weight doesn't sound too excessive; mine's at 238 with stock, but I fly with a little more powerful batteries.
I don't think the weight is the main issue. I hope You can get it figured out alright. You are missing out on a lot of fun!

After more testing I found out that my batteries and motors don't get hot only warm. When I check the batteries with a voltmeter they still have a good charge in them even after 8-10mins.
What does this all mean?
Is this saying my 3-1 isn't letting full power to the motors?

It sounds like Your 3 in 1 is the only thing You have left to try. It is possible. I'm at a loss.

I'm not sure what this means but on a cold day it has no power and a warm day is flys ok for about 3-4 mins then looses power.

ok. its not the bushings in the new xtreme motors just replaced them with silver .
extreme blades/grips should be in tomarrow so i'll test that next.

The more I think about it the more I'm sure its my 3-1, and knowing my luck its always the last thing I can possibly try.

I am having the same problem with my Cx-2. I just replaced both motors thinking they were just getting weak but that didnt solve it. Ive tried everything and i am suspecting the 4 in 1 is gone bad, thats about all thats left that i havent tried. If i get it resolved ill post back with the fix, do the same if you figure it out first.

F__________K!!!!!!!!! 2 WEEKS to figure this out

After buying two more packs of stock lower and upper matching numbered blades one of them finally worked.. JUST MY LUCK!!!!

I've spent about $150 and replaced almost every freaken part of my heli.

ITS THE FREAKEN BLADES!!!!!!!!!!! Even if I examine the defective blades with good ones there is no way I can tell if they are bad. I can't wait to get off of stock blades!!!

I have had bad stock blades alot. they don't have any pitch. If you heat them up in hot water they will get some pitch back and sometimes work. The LHS I got them from acted like he was truley amazed that e flite made a bad set of blades.
