Once again, I’m looking for the wisdom of the RCU forum community. Thanks to all who have replied to my previous posts. I have more questions:
I think one of my motors is sounding with a higher pitch than usual. Is this a bad thing?
Is there some type of maintenance I should perform on my stock motors?
Can I break them in even though my heli has had more than 40 flights? Or are they already “broken in” because of all the use and abuse?
Also, will a hot motor drain the battery quicker than a cool motor?

There isn't much You can do on the stock motors except the following;
COMPLETE COOL DOWN AFTER EACH FLIGHT !
That, and that alone is pretty much the ONLY thing and the BEST thing You can do to ensure longevity.
Some people oil, I don't; but if You do; not more than 1/100th of a drop.
They are cheap; replace them, or upgrade to the XTREME'S, they are serviceable in the way of brush replacement, but You will smoke them too if they get too hot.

Get a heat sink. I would run 4 battery packs back to back on my stock motors. I had about 200+ flights on them and the CX2 was used when I bought it before it died. I never did a cool down, just a heat sink. Good $3 to spend.
