Default CX2 spins slowly in 3 FT circle when hovering

Hi, I have a problem with my CX2 it seems to develop a slow oscillation when trying to hover, this occurs even at 6 or 8 feet above ground.

When I watch the fly bar at eye level I can see it moving in this fashion also.

When I fly straight (higher throttle) it seems to go away.

Any suggestions???

Mark

check your upper blade tracking. If it is right check the outer and inner shafts for bends. I had a bent inner shaft that caused this problem.

Hmm, sounds like TBE! Check your flybar and ensure it is straight and not binding in anyway. Mine did that, I changed the flybar and bam all gone! Gene

Make sure both blade sets are perfectly balanced, then like others above mentioned, make sure your flybar is completely free with zero friction. When the flybar is right you should be able to flick one end of the bar down and it should bounce (teeter-totter) up and down twice.

Dozens of threads about this issue in here, just do a search on "TBE", or "Toilet Bowl Effect".

Thank you for the advice fly bar looks OK but a couple of nicks on one of the lower blades. How do you check the blades for balance???

Hi, thank you for all the ideas. I have checked my blades for balance and warp found top blades off balance, changed my flybar (allthough it looked OK) checked blade tracking.

Still can not seem to get trimmed to hover seems to be a smaller TBE now.

Any other thoughts??? seems to be making a high pitch noise also. Do not know if that is normal or not.

Thank you,

Mark
