Default CX2 problem - complete noob

first heli never flown anything before -(race 1/10 cars for 20 years) Blade CX2 got it used with one spare top balde 2 spare bottom blades & the top hub has been replaced (aluminum) - ....i trimmed it to where it was ALMOST stable in med. throttle (not enough to lift off) - i got it to fly about 20ft off the ground for about 10 seconds - landed it - took it home to tweak it to get it REALLY stable.......trimmed & gain adjusted on the 3 n 1 (not 4 n 1) reset all trims 95% max left on the rudder 95% max right on the aliron 95% max forward on the elevator......now all it wants to do is hover in reversed left hand circles cant trim it out.....what should i do?

You need to adjust the proportional pot and level the swashplate.

Because you have the rudder trim set 95% left you need to turn the proportional pot counter clockwise.

To level your swashplate you need to shorten the pushrod on the right side of the heli, to correct the 95% right aileron trim, and lengthen the left pushrod to correct the 95% forward elevator trim.

If your heli still circles as you have described you may have TBE due to a bent flybar or shaft.

weracerc thats a thread eat2muchrice put up has all the links to the popular online guides.
Soloboss's guide will get you trimmed up nice. and the swashplate level guide works like a charm.
Hope it helps let me know how it goes.

You shouldn't need that much trim. That is usually that last thing you do with only a couple of clicks. Look at those guides that should get you on the right track.

thanks ar****sxi for posting that link.

weracerc, you'll find almost everything you need in that link. I would recommend, like ar****sxi, to first read Solobosses guide, then the swashplate guide. Those two should get you going good.

No Prob, Thank you for all the help since ive joined the forum. but weracerc I had the same issues, I know not having a heli that can hover nicely is so discouraging. Take the time to go through the guide even where it says to drill holes in the 4-1 cover to allow it to cool better and on the heli canopy. You will notice a diff. I have pics of mine if you want to see, just lemme know I used a Dremel to do all the work. Good Luck!
