Well I took the plundge and bought the b400 after reading some favorable reviews. Being that this is my second helicopter but first with real capability of a cp system, I was wondering a couple of things and was hoping some of you all could help. 1st. What batteries and chargers do you all recommend. And 2nd. Talk to me about upgrade on servos. This is one of the things they talked about in the reviews that the stock servos don't center well. Anyway if you all could help that would be great.

More people will have better info than I, but Im fairly new to it too.
Batteries. I use the stock one and a 2100mAh one of the same brand, both using the stock charger for now. Unless I have a problem with it, Im not going to buy another charger.
For the servos, The only one I've replaced is the tail servo to a "Spektrum 7.5 Gram Digital Programmable Super Sub-Micro Servo." It can be set up in digital mode, as opposed to the stock one in analog only. The other 3 servos have not given me any problem.
Maybe I lucked out with my batteries and other servos, but Im the type of person who will keep using until they give me trouble before upgrading them. Im learning on my B400 and replacements for stock parts are dirt cheap around here.

Just got mine today..You should get the e-flite power supply, Part # EFLC 4030 so you can charge the battery from any AC outlet....Does not come with the package....

You can also make a 12 volt power supply from an old ATX computer power supply for about $5 from radio shack.

It took me about an hour to do. If you run the 5volt line also that will power servos and motors if you need to test them.

On my Belt CP I also use the Flight Power EVO 25 2170mAh, Futaba S9650 for the tail, and JR DS285 for the cyclic. I love the Flight Power batteries, plenty of power. I get good response out of the S9650. The DS285 servos center well and have enough torque for scale type flying, but since mine don't have metal gears I don't know how they would do in a crash. But JR does offer them with metal gears. I use the Hobbico accu-cycle charger with a flight power balancer. The balancer does it's job well. I also like the charger because it has many display options so I can know what is going on with my batteries. Flight Power doesn't have a common balancer connector like E-Flite and Align do.
