I have had my CX2 for 6 months are so. Ive managed to mess up 2 batteries. So I figured let me buy another cause they are a blast to fly. Now that I have a BRAND NEW battery it seems to not want to lift off the ground but maybe 6 inches. Anyone have an idea of what the problem may be?
Thanks

well, im no expert but to give you a quick reply on what the other guys usually say...
have you recently replaced either shafts? your collars could be on too tight therefore restricting the rotation speed of the shafts. it could also maybe be your charger? do you have a multimeter.

I may have the answer to my own question. Some of the gears on my lower blades are chewed up. Know of any good replacements besides the plastic ones?

i just had that happen to mine, i just got done replacing the inner shaft. i just use the plastic ones. they're only a few bucks at my hobby shop. also, it matters what way the collars go on. and theres also a washer that goes on the inner shaft that has to be facing the correct way as well. they have a little lip on one side of them that is designed to hold down the bearings they sit up against. but if the teeth are chewed up you should notice an increasingly noisy sound when you give it throttle. does this happen?
now, if i can just get an answer to my question...

This happened with my BCX as well. The only conclusion I've come up with is that the motors are done for. If you had your CX2 for that long, then perhaps it's time for a new motor.

I have had the same problem. After several total tear downs and rebuilds, checking, gears, retaining collars, bearings, brushes, etc. It still would not get more than 6" off of the ground. I decided to try a battery balance check. There is a simple, cheap unit on the market called a "Blinky" it plugs into the 3 pin on your battery. It works by dicharging the stronger cell thus rebalanceing the battery. After rebalanceing, recharge and then balance again. You may need to do this several times at first. You should be able to find these at your local RC, or on line. if you have trouble finding them go to colpar hobbies web site in Denver Co. I have found that not only is it flying great but it has increased my flite time. Hope this helps!!

I have been reading some other threads and have heard many many people say that bladecx2.com is nothing but a guy repackaging parts from other suppliers and marking them up. Don't buy from this site. There are many sites offering the same upgrades for cheaper prices. Try boomtownhobbies.com or bphobbies.com. Both have sold to me and i give both very good reviews. prices on the same parts are less expensive than cx2.com

Also, www.ushobbysupply.com is right up there with the other good sites!
