UTM Thanks a bunch!!! I was just flying in the atrium (sp) at work 3 stories from the ground and my 3 in 1 rearmed it self, causing a 3 story fall on the landing skids. I could hear the servos working before it hit but the motors didn't re arm in time. Crimped my battery in the aluminum batt holder, bent outer and bent inner shaft. replace the shafts rebent the battery holder (batt OK no holes) and it was good as new. I was afraid of flying it again incase the same thing happened. Now I found the cause thanks to you I will fly it 3 stories off the ground again. It is fun landing on the 1st floor and flying it up to the third floor and landing.
I have also had other hard to trouble shoot problems that could help other people out.
Servo glitching :Cause = bad stick on the stock CX2 2.4 GHz Tx. I figured it out when I bound my DX7 Tx to the CX2 and the problem went away. When I switched back to the stock Tx the problem came back. It was still flyable but accuracy was diminished. When you do a close fly by with the canapy off you can see the servo arm glitching.
3 in 1 rearming it's self : This was on a different channel. Replaced servo and problem went away. It was so bad that I could use all the channels except the elevator and as soon as I touched the elevator it would disconnect the 3 in 1. Remedy = replaced elevator servo.
I am not sure when my capacitor became broken but I had about 3 weeks of 2-3 packs a day before I had the confirmed motor capacitor issue.
I am a heavy user. 2-3 (sometimes 6) packs a day on the week day and 7-9 on Saturday and Sunday. Going on 3 months. If you are flying only a few packs a week most people won't encounter these types of issues.

Glad to be of service. I think that is what the forums are about. Learning from others problems helps to keep us all in the air.
Sorry to hear about the crash but at least it is a short term problem and easily fixed.
Happy hovering.
