is their a way on the tx for blade 400 to adjust how sensitive the servos move vs stick input? like when i give stick input to tilt left, can i adjust how fast it tilts to the left?

You cannot increase/decrease the speed of the stock servos.

You can increase the overall throw of the servos and the stick sensitivity using Dual Rates and Expo.

stick sensitivity is what i'm talking about. is it hard to change by dueal rate and expo?

well i changed it down to about 70 percent and that helped out alot

Try:

AIL 80% +20%
ELE 80% +20%
RUD 90% +10%

First % is D/R, second is Expo.

Dual Rate effects the throw of the servo, Expo effects stick sensitity around the center/neutral position.

I think I should make that my signature line: "Dual rate effects..."

instead of starting a new thread i'll try asking this question in here. how long do eflight servos usually last? and what are some good replacement servos that will fit without any modding?

Well one of my stock servos lasted 2 batteries, then went wacko and shoved the swash way up on the back left causing it to nose in as I went to take off (not stripped gears, something else again). LHS are going to replace the servo and sounds like will ship me a new set of blades and feathering shaft. But in the mean time I am grounded.

I am looking at some Hitec HS-65s for the cyclic and was looking at the JR DS285 for the tail. The tail servo I am looking at is not the most recommended one by far, but I cant justify spending the amounts others are.

I also have my DR set to 80% and the expo set to 30% tame it down while I try to get it all balanced out. Not having a lot of luck with dud servos!

will the Hitec HS-65s fit the servos spaces for the cyclic? i like it being metal gears

It is apparently a tight fit (mine are still in shipment....) and you can either unscrew the bottom case so the wires can be pulled out the base while it is inserted, or others have loosened the frame screws and yet others have sanded/filed a small amount to allow easier fitment. I will be going for option 1 so not to reduce frame strength and not have to worry about loosening the frame.

Oh, and the Hitec HS-65HB is the 'Karbonite' gears, the HS-65MG is the Metal gears. Personally I am going for the 'Karbonite' as think this will be more than ample for my requirements and only 2/3's the price...
