Default BLADE 400: if it feels wrong..it probably is.

hey guys, just a simple learning mistake i had made. felt i would share it with ya'll.

the DX6i scroll wheel is sensitive, i have noticed. MANY times the slightest pressure to make a selection will sometimes get transalted as a "roll" input..rather than "selecting. although the wheel wont roll, i have seen my single input get counted as a roll, AND select....

so here i was doing some preventative maint. and also going thru the REVERSE menu of the controller, just to see what options where there. my throttle hold was was physically ON, and ACTIVE. i selected a servo to reverse, just to get a better view of things and see which servo it changed. when i made the selection, it rolled over one space, and selected REVERSE........THROTTLE!

scary..SCARY stuff.. nobody hurt thankfully. the nighboors heard the commotion, and that maybe i had a power tool accident, thinking i was hurt. (blades, boom, and other stuff went sailing into the street into thier view.) (details? imagine the worlds largest wasp flinging itself from the floor into the ceiling, hitting the open garage door above, the garage fan, and also the florescent lighting...banging itself several times directly above you raining down glass, sheetrock, aluminum door bits, heli parts, at rocket speed. then landing in your lap beating broken "wings" near your "personals" you would like to keep..ahem, personal rather than exposed to teh nurses. :P)

i dont know why throttle hold reversed as well...not sure if it should it shouldnt..but i wont blame that. i blame myself! i actually was for thinking just moments before "maybe i should unplug the motor..just in case. NAAAAH. i am not messing with the motor. only the servos.."

lesson learned.

UNPLUG THE MOTOR for any reason you are making changes in the radio, or a possible "over" selection could result.

I did a similar thing ont he Walkera #4 and reversed the throttle by accident. Fortunetly it was only a FP machine. It must have been scarey the damage done!
