So im looking at all the stuff I got when I bought my cp pro from this guy and noticed there was a uninstalled gws direct drive kit in the box. Sweet. So I put it on and fly it a couple of times and than I crashed and the tail mount that came with the kit was destroyed. Ok so now what do I do, order a new one or get a stock one to work. I dremel out the stock one so the gws motor would fit and than i noticed it would be mounted with the blade on the same side as the stock one but spinning clockwise. Ok cool I can just reverse the polarity..... ok that would work if I had different rear props. Doing that would make the prop not cut into the wind and catch it. So I take the stock rear motor mount and flip it upside down. I don't need the tail support I have the one that came with my superskids. Now I have a properly working gws kit. I looked into doing it this way but I never saw anyone flip the rear mount over they always just reversed the polarity on the motor. If someone else has already ran into this sorry... I will have pics later my friend has my camera now.

I just did exactly the same with my DD drive. I dremeled the bearing box off and the little protrusion where the tail skid comes out to reduce weight. Works well. Nice work.

Thanks! I ended up getting a battery charged last night and it works great. I just got back from my LHS and purchased a brushless setup for this little guy. My stock was on it's way out so I decided to upgrade. My heli is a kinda overweight a bit from adding the superskids (great investment) and a aluminum tail boom so I hope this helps out a little. My LHS also gave me a cp pro manual they had laying around which is a good thing. I purchased my heli's used and they didnt come with it. But I got a blade cp and a cp pro both for the low price of 150 I really wasn't worried about the manual
