I am really hoping that someone can help me, I am new to heli's and I have a Blade CX2. Since I have had it, it has been through the ringer absorbing my learning curve and as a result:
It has new eflite aluminium parts,
Bound to my DX7 Spektrum,
New extreme motors from miracle mart (I burned one of the original ones up),
Miracle mart's extreme landing gear/tail boom/body upgrades,
Miracle marts aluminium blade grips and blades (with balanced blades),
New extreme flybar that is balanced and free (no binding),
2 cell, 1320 mAh thunder power battery,
And plenty of ventilation (including the 3 in 1 casing being swiss cheesed).
To this day I can't control it, it will not hover and stay pointing in one direction. It always (from day one) wants to rotate to the left requiring right rudder input. I've made many small adjustments to the proportional trim pot but its never good enough, it always wants to rotate one way or the other.
Could I have ended up with a bad gyro? Or am I simply missing something else?
I'm pulling my hair out and contemplating sticking with airplanes, any help is most sincerely appreciated!

Try turning the gain all the way down. Center the rudder trim on the transmitter. Keep rotating the proportional pot. clockwise. Then once it stays in place pretty good with out stick inputs turn the gain up until the tail starts to "wags". Then turn it down until the wagging stops.

Interesting...Im also new to hobby and bought a very similiar kit from an after market supplier...Looks exactly the same...Dont know if I can answer your question but I ll tell you what i did. Same issue, the copter is totally uncontrollable. I also thought was gyro. So i put unit back into original condition out of box and worked great! I have systematically added component by component and here is what Im seeing.
1 in original condition out of box unit flies great
2 I added skids and tail section.....really wants to fly backwards (tail heavy) so add a light weigh tail section I got at store. Carbon fibre tubing and carbon tail section.....unit flies great
3 I added motors (extreme 180) and unit hovers but wants to rotate counterclockwise. I turn trim all the way to end and still rotates! doesnt make sense to me
4 I put original motors back in and now add the same exact blade set up you have....thing flies uncontrollable!!
5 Ive tried adjusting blades, Ive trade adjustments in gyro/reciever...to no avail
6 So Im kind of in same position as you. Ive sent email to company tonight..late back east so dont imagine I will hear for a few days.
I will watch your post...if you find solution off line can you let me know as well? Ive spent days on this and many trips to hobby store and they cant figure out.

I had a similar problem, just to the right. It was my gyro. the guy at the LHS spooled it up in his hand, then rotated the heli left and right. You can actually hear it whine (or not.) I have same blades and motors. I now have it at a decent hover. I'll go back to LHS soon and have him tune it for me. I need to hurry up on that before I break it again.

I'm going to give Evdreamer's suggestion a try and see what happens and let you know.
Guys, most sincerely thank you for the input. I really would like to make this work.

That was the ticket! All I did was turn the gain all the way down, adjusted the gyro proportional trim pot, and then fine tuned the heading with the subtrim on my radio. Lastly I worked the gain up until I had good response with no wagging and whow-la! she flies!
Most sincerely thank you!!!
