I'm looking at a boom for my Cx's. Is it me or do they seem a bit "cheesy" in construction being held on by an o-ring being used as a rubber band and a piece of double stick? Or is there a reason for that? If I'm missing something someone please point it out, or even take a coupe of pics of them actually on a bird. Dunno, just wondering what is out there and what you folks are using.

Hi,
The least expensive is from BoomTownhobbies.com. It may have that o too but the replacement parts are CHEAP. I looked at others that cost far more BUT when you break a tail fin the replacement parts are extreamly costly and as much as the whole dang thing was from the start. Give this a look at Boomtown.
Look for CX2 and Boomtown parts not eflite when your own his site. Jamie is the owner and TOPS and is a great guy to work with or cal him and ask questions to.
