Default CX2 Trimming Question

My CX2 starts off flying well ,Nose Straight}Trim Center as time goes on my Rudder trim needs more n' more left -till by close to end of pack :I'm full left trim to keep nose straight. Is this normal?Iv'e adjusted the gyro Trim so it doesn't tail wag when doing a 1/4 turn and stopping. Its really pretty good for a little while, I wonder if I should just make it start off with a bit of left in nose to compensate for the last 1/4 of flite.? What do you think.....

T/C

I have had my CX2 for a year now...as said by others thats normal! Even my new MCX does the same too. Newer and fresh batteries help, and..........I dont know how long you fly your battery but shorten your flight by 30 to 60 seconds and for the most part you'll not have to endure this action.

You want an instant fix?

I have one for You.

Take the back cover off the TX and take out the rudder return spring.

INSTANT trim control with every flight without having to take Your thumb off the stick.

You will love the freedom of keeping the nose where you want ALL THE TIME without having to 'lean' on the stick.

Makes for more poetic rudder control. Takes only a couple of batteries to get used of NOT having the spring there.

You won't go back ! !

Problem solved and a better flyer.

Yea : Ya Know That sounds like something I'd do too. It makes it feel better when I controll it all the time .Rather then letting it just center itself .And waiting for me to fight the spring loaded {center}RUDDER anyway. Its a pain in the @$$. Can I say that? I already pulled the throttle Notch set up ,Just reversed the tab inside like most do. Feels Better & I can controll it better in the house now, Good Idea I'll try it. Wish me luck. [&:] My ol' R/C Nitro Flying Days R coming back . little by little. Just don't have the mowed fields anymore, Heli all the way now. [&:] But before I pull the center spring Iv'e got one more shot at it. Just because it almost there. { How long do you guys fly em' for. 10 Min. ?} or more. I need to do a test on that. I best do it tomorrow.

Yank it out of there; You can always put it back in if You don't like it.

Takes 4 minutes.

I also weakened all the other springs by adjusting the screw; then filed the stupid ratchets off the throttle stick; now I can hover 1/2 inch off the floor and rescue little army men with the skids. Total control, Guys!

Until You buy and use a DX-7 this is one of the best mods You can do, is not to the heli, but to the TRANSMITTER.

Yea: you got me heading in my room to get to work on it now. Slept on it , Yep time to mod. the Transmitter. soften spring wht. no ratcheting throttle . I'll Make one more adjustment to 3 in 1 and that will be that. Still how long can you fly for . {Time on your battery with out over drain ?} O.K Edit Time >>> I just went outside n' flew . Did all above : FLEW GREAT. !!! Needed all left trim by the ending of flight. No Biggy I pushed it a bit. Next time I quit at 8 min. not 9 min. At 8 min things are still real good. Thanks for the advice. Really made my morning. Great day. Awesome. Need a little more left n' right; My F&R is real good. I'm flying it useing the second hole on servo . Maybe I'll go to the second on the L&R servo hole too.? Not sure I like it cause it suttle, no violent moves to get in trouble with. The Heli feels good in hands . full controll now. I Even did some spins, Hovers well , real well.! Forward and Backwards is nice . This baby can move pretty fast if wanted. { Finally } . Thanks you so much. Its a real cold Day here. 20 degrees out . little to no wind. Beautiful , kept everything cool. I take it flight Time is around 8 min. ? Is this what most are getting.
