hi guys.
i have a problem with my cx 2 i just purchased it about a month ago. and now it seems like i only get a minute of flight before the battery dies... than it will only hover like 4 feet of the ground and when i push the rudder it just drops to the ground and then will pop back up to like about 4 feet.... it does this with both batteries. so i am just curious if it could be a problem with the batteries or the charger or maybe the 3in1 unit itself? thanks in advance.

I have the same thing going on with mine. Do you or have you been flying it alot?? I think it is the kind of batterys I am buying, because I get them from the .99 cent store. So I am going to try top of the line new one's and see what happens? Mine is only that old too but I have been flying it all the time not hard or crashing or anything like that. Have you talked to your LHS ? And what did they tell you? Are you taking the batterys down to where the flash when they are in the blade when it is flying? But ten bucks for a battery that only last twenty times is not very good.

You have permanently damaged the battery by over discharging it. toss the battery, or you will ruin the 3 and 1 control unit. i had the same problem with a 30 dollar battery. i was flying my cx2 to the point where it wouldn't take off. do not attempt to charge it again as it can cause a fire. get a new battery and have a stop watch set to 6 minutes of flight time.

He might be right as I just went to the store and got some good batteries and she fly's great and I get about 7 min out of a charge. That's where I have my timer set for on my radio. I know if you run any lipo down to far they are gone no coming back from that.

I've ruined more darned batteries by over-discharging them! For some reason I just never got a timer. So I finally remembered one day when I was in Target. $6 for a digital timer. It will pay for itself twice the first time I DON'T ruin a battery.

haha yeah i just went a picked up two new batteries from the hobby shop and charging them now. i guess all the hovering i did in my room wasn't really higher than 2 feet i couldn't really notice the voltage dropping.... just when i started taking it outside i was like wow only 1 minute this sucks haha. thanks for the timer suggestion i just went and bought a watch to use for a timer so this wont happen again. thanks again guys! happy flying.
Edit: oh and thanks soloboss for that great write up you did on cx2 setup on heliwiki that saved me alota trouble with the TBE seems to happen every crash lol.
Edit: new battery seems to fix the problem with the flight time! but everytime i spin the tail in a pirouette or maybe a half pirouette it seems to drop altitude to the ground now would that be a sign of motor wear or the blades not balanced correctly?
