Hey dudes I thought I would introduce myself here since Iam new to the r/c heli world. I recently bought a cx2 but had a few problems with it. Problems were tiny like the heat dispersers on the engine were put on by the hobby shop(I bought a floor model since it was the last one) and the dude did not apply any thermal compound so I threw on some arctic silver 5 compound which is a well know compound for laptop cpus and video cards. The other problem was my 3in1 becoming toast. My father decided to give it a fly(I am 18) and for some reason the heli bugged out and hit the ground and would not stop chirping around so stupidly I put my foot on the top blade to stop it....I have a good history from using r/c nitro cars and thats the first thing Ido when the car bugs out is to catch it under my rigth foot lmao wrong choice here.
I drove down to a hobby shop in Long Island and got a 3in1 that is for a cx3 with the heading lock gyro. It now is a completely new heli. ByeBye to self yawing O_O! Only problem I see with this 3in1 is that the tail twitches but not soo much, I put down the gain a good amount.
So anyways past my past, I ordered an extreme boom kit, extreme se 180 motors, the heatsinks for the motors, a fuse relay for the 3in1 and some flexible landing legs...Any other parts worth buying???
O yea and does anyone know how to give the cx2 more response when going forward, back, side to side. I read something about putting the servo arms a hole down or something like that? Can someone explain it to me?

Hello my friend and welcome to the eflite club, firstly the parts you bought are all good mods imo and will improve the quality of the cx2, alloy lower rotor head and alloy swashplate to me were very good mods too.
As far as increasing the forward flight of the cx2 yes you take the arm out of the inner holes they are in in the servo horn, move them out one hole, to do this you must make the hole slightly larger to fit the link arm into. It will give more throw and faster forward flight

two suggestions.
1) get the silver brushes to go with the new motors. Break them in properly. They'll give you the power you are looking for.
2) http://www.rotortech.ca/CX2/

Thanks guys all the help is appreciated greatly!
I also have the upper blades clash with the bottom blades ALOT! Idk why but I like to go full speed straight and then just cut it back to an immediate stop..I love the way it looks hehe and sounds but it's impossible to do sudden movements without the blades hitting and BAM on the floor we end up =/. Can someone direct me to a good longer shaft that will prevent this!

Dynam make a really naff chopper called the vortex, it was my first heli and should have put me off them for life but i convinced myself to get a cx2 and it was all good from then on. The dynam vortex inner shaft is perfect for this.
It replaces the cx2 original shaft with no mods and gives you plenty of clearence and hey presto no more blade clacking

e-flite does make an inner shaft that is a bit longer and will give you a little less clapping, also you may want to look into CNC heads for the top and bottom blade mounts, and extreme blades, all that has reduced my clapping to really fast stops, or stop and go's...
good luck!
good luck!
