My crash yesterday, you'd think I nosed it in from 100 ft onto cement rather than about 5 ft into grass, anyways...the landing gear at the front where the screws go from the black plastic frame into the white struts...the black frame has broken off where the screws are...any suggestions or shoud I just use plastic zip ties to hold the gear on....I'd think it is a tad pricey to buy the new big hunk of plastic and start swapping parts....any help I'd appreciate....has this happened to anyone else

That tab usually breaks in a crash. Most people just try to reglue it with gorilla glue, J.B Weld or some such. Others drill a small hole in the bottom of the frame and run a screw up through the landing gea strut, being careful not do interfer with the ESC. Still others just replace the frame. I usually try option 2, drilling a new hole in the bottom of the frame.
Hope that helps.

Hey Dave,
The frame is surprisingly inexpensive, it's $11.99 if memory serves me correctly...
Kinda alot of work to replace it, you may want to take Wnuk's advice for now, or until you break more tabs off...[X(]
When I replace my frame, it was because I broke 3 of those tabs off in one crash..
...pretty nasty one.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do!

Yo Dave
My condolences! yes I have boken those before! I flew for a while with zip ties around it all to hold it steady, but it just ain't the same! i eventually bought a new frame - pretty cheap but quite a job to strip and replace (although I thoroughly enjoyed the process).
I said to my LHS guy that the strut mounts on the frame were pretty weak - and that I had broken two (on the one side). he just shrugged and said "you're not supposed to crash!" I guess he's right! Much better when I fixed it all up though.
Don't dissapear from the forum. keep coming back during the repair process. You may need some help.

Thanks Jon.......don't worry I wont disappear yet...I refuse to quit.........the money thing is ok.....Sorry kids...Dad spent your inheritance on a company called e-flyte.....hey..I,m kinda having fun............You are right with your advice......fly in a bigger area....to Tomcat on another page......you hit it right on the button.....you get scared..nervous and drop her down way to quickly.......and you are really on regarding those tabs...complete crap they are.....I think the rebuild on a new frame is a good idea....you would learn a lot about the heli...look at stuff in a different light............looking forward to my visit to the hobby shop in the big city tomorrow.........closest one is 80 miles.....or 135 km from here........will buy double of everything........man...can't believe I bent the main shaft.........ouch...ciao..thanks for the tips, they are helping......Dave

I was wondering if it would be worth it to get that and all the nes. parts to make a really nice CNC/ Carbon fiber heli or would you be better off getting an Align Kit? (way down the road)
