Default Blade MCX too slow in forward

My Blade MCX has slow forward speed even when I push the stick all the way, while the reverse speed is quite fast. The helo is trimmed and hovers no problem. Is there anything I can adjust to make it fly faster forward (I don't care if reverse speed is not as fast).

you can change the setting of the adjustable arm that connects the servo to the swashplate. Move the stick that controls your forward and backward movement. See which servo moves and which way it moves. As I recall, the servo pulls down on the swash arm to go forward. Check me to be certain. Anyhow, assuming I'm right, If the servo pulls the swash arm down to go forward you can snap the linkage off the swash arm and twist the ball link on the threaded rod to make it shorter. Doing that will make the helicopter fly forward all the time - but you can correct that with the fore/aft trim so the heli will still hover. When you want to go forward the servo will pull the swash arm farther and the heli will fly faster. The down side is that it will fly backwards more slowly.

I get more response from my mCX from sanding some of the flybar weight off. I sand it with a dremel. And I've sanded it quite a bit so its lighter than it was so the heli is more responsive than stock.
I also removed both screws that attach the circuit board to the heli frame, then I cut about 1/16" off the length of the upper mounting bar. Then I put the screws back in. What that does is make the circuit board parallel to the servo linkages so you get more linkage movement - and you get more movement out of your mCX.

Have fun!

There are some good ideas already posted. I really like the putty idea. It is cheap, simple and it works. This company offers an upgrade you might want to try.

Actually I just turned the servo rod head 2 full 360 degrees turns clockwise. It made it a bit shorter and now swashplate moves more down then up. I have more forward speed and still enough back speed.
Thanks everyone!
