Airtronics RD6000 settings for BLADE 400
I just purchased a B400 PNP and I've installed my receiver and now I'm trying to set up my Airtronics RD6000 radio. Does anyone have a set of configuration parameters for the RD6000 that will work with the B400?

RE: Airtronics RD6000 settings for BLADE 400
Well I finally figured out the servo settings for the RD6000. I was looking at the diagram in the RD6000 manual for the 120 degree/front elevator swash plate configuration and finally noticed that the difference in that diagram and the diagram in the Blade 400 manual. The aileron and pitch servos were swapped between the two diagrams. So I swapped channel 2 and 6 and then reversed the elevator servo and all is working correctly.
Now I have to set the pitch curves. I'm not sure I like having the "idle up" setting like on my Blade CP+ as the normal flight mode on the B400. I guess I'll have to get used to it or can I change the recommended pitch curves and use the flight mode switch to set the "idle up" configuration on flight mode 1 or 2?

I don't know how new you are to helis, but here is a great link with videos on setting up a heli. [link=http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=41692]heli setup[/link]
Yeah you can change the pitch curves. If you are still learning you shouldn't have more than -3 degrees of pitch. That helps not slam the heli into the ground if you chop the throttle. Yeah you can set what switch position is idle up.

[:@] This thing is driving me crazy. I thought I had everything set up properly, but after I set up the rotor head and checked the blade tracking, I found that the pitch was reversed. If I get the pitch set right, then the aileron function is reversed.
Is ANYONE running a B400 with an Airtronics RD6000 or RD8000 radio that can tell me what servos they have plugged into which channel and which servos are reversed?

CP3F is the swash type.
CH1 ELE
CH2 AIL
CH6 PTC
Get your swash cyclic operating correctly and then program your pitch curve in reverse. This means you will start out at 0% for H and end at 100% for L This will get your swash operating in the right direction for pitch.

Did you change the pitch by the swashmix or servo reversing? If you used the swashmix it shouldn't affect the ailerons. Try changing the signs on the swashmix for aileron and that should get you going in the right direction.

The RD6000/8000 does not have a swash mix menu. All it has is a swash type. With the swash type set to the correct C3PF (120 degree, elevator in front) and the elevator plugged into channel 1, aileron in 2 and pitch in 6, everything worked correctly except the pitch was reversed. I finally found a document that said that the Airtronics radio assumed that positive pitch was controlled with the swash plate moving up. Since on the B400 positive pitch is with the swash moving down the correct configuration didn't work.
I finally fixed it by changing the swash type to C3PB (elevator in back) and put pitch on channel 2 and aileron on 6. I then reversed elevator, aileron and pitch was set back to normal. That setting finally got everything moving in the right direction.

Ivan,
I wish it had been that simple, but the RD6000 doesn't have a menu to change the percent of pitch - or + only a swash type menu.
