Default About to buy DX7 quick question

After a month flying the blade mCX I'm starting to move to a bigger heli. I'm going to get a DX7 Heli version and G4.5. My question is the DX7 with work G4.5 right? Also what sort of cord do Ineed to connect the DX7 to the computer?

Thanks!

Default RE: About to buy DX7 quick question

I have an MCX, CP Pro 2, DX7 and use G4.5. I normally use the Interlink controller that comes with the RealFlight software, but just last night, I decided to use the DX7 with G4.5. You had to use the control cable included and plug it between the two transmitters (Interlink acts as a link between the DX7 and computer), calibrate it and set the channels properly. The Interlink controller has rotary a knob that typically controls flaps or gyro gain at various degrees of sensitivity (depending on model selected). You don't have such a knob on the DX7. There are other controllers that would have to be adjusted / calibrated... You also don't have the reset button and aircraft select buttons on the DX7, so you would have to use the keyboard (after hitting the reset button on the Interlink controller) rather than do most of the selection from the controller. I had fun trying, but I think I might stick with the Interlink controller for G4.5. I'm also tempted to get the Clearview simulator for $39 or so, and use the Interlink (or DX7) controller with it. Just more toys for the winter. Don't forget to recharge your DX7 after having fun or you won't be able to fly your MSX
