I am thinking of buying a Blade CP, CP+, or CP Pro, all of which come with an FM radio.

Can this upgrade be done, just by changing the FM receiver it comes with to a 2.4Ghz receiver, or is there more to it than that?

The cp pro2 comes with 2.4Ghz radio and a spektrum reciever you can bind with a dx6I or dx7 radio , and the they fly so much better than the cp"s.. mine flies better than my trex..

It would be fairly expensive to convert a Blade CP, since it comes with a 4in1. The CP+ and CPP would just need the 2.4GHz receiver, since they both have a 3in1. I assume you already have a 2.4GHz transmitter with helicopter mixing?

I was doing some more reading; I think I will find myself a 400 instead.

so you cant use the 4 in 1 that comes with the blade CP with a 2.4 rx? I am trying or wanting to upgrade mine to 2.4 so I can fly it with my 9303 radio . should I just forget about this upgrade and fly it with the stock FM .

Does anyone has instruction on how to convert and separate the CP Pro 3-in-1 unit with receiver and install the new AR6110 receiver ? I do have DX7 transmitter. Can anyone share the setting and programming parameters on the transmitter to make it easier to fly for beginner?

i ended up hacking into the old 4 in 1 unit and upgrading to a AR6100 RX . and it all worked great . there is a thred on here just serch for it and it will walk you through how to do it and give you all the settigns so when you turn the transmiter on it is all set up.
