My MCX used to fly great, until today. I'm having a strange problem.
First, sometimes it can't get enough throttle to lift off. I unplug it, plug it back in, it lifts off, and flies fine for a few seconds, then it starts to spin whenever I raise the throttle fast, and then if I keep flying, it starts to lose power again. Both motors get real hot, whereas before I could barely feel them getting warm. Also, the gyro is acting like a heading hold gyro...if I turn the MCX with my hands with the battery plugged in and the throttle down to zero, the motors spin a bit, as though trying to compensate.
Is my 5 in 1 dying?

Nothing more than the normal hard landing. It is all trimmed out and flies nice when not acting up as described above. Why, what do you suspect?

Do your blades spin freely? Our little MCX got some hair wrapped around the rotor shaft and it had the exact same symptoms you describe. Took the inner shaft out, cleaned it and it, put it back together and it was as good as new. Could barely see the hair when it was together but very evident once taken apart.
