My vote is for the MSR. The tandem rescue is cool but will not really offer much more challenge. What are your future plans in this hobby?

I would not say it is much harder to fly than the MCX but the helicopter is much more capable. You can get enough speed going on an MSR to run out of room really quick.

The mSR is very stable for a single rotor bird, but it is a lot faster in foward and reverse flight. It is also more responsive as well. It is the "hot rod" of E-Flite's ultra micro fleet. It is pretty easy to fly if you have mastered the mCX but if you decide to go crazy on the sticks, it will get out reach very quickly. And is has an adjustable swashplate setting (you move the control links to another set of control balls) that makes it even more aggressive. You won't be dissapointed IMHO!

Oh, and getting back on track, I agree the mSR will be the way to go. The tandem really wouldn't be a "step up" at all, it's just something different.
Good luck

This is just my micro mini fleet as I have others.
