Blade SR or Blade 400???
I have went through the Blade Mcx2, and now the mSR and i am thinking about the next step, i origionally was thinking Blade SR for my next but i now might skip and go to Blade 400. Is this a bad idea is a Blade 400 extremley more difficult to fly than the SR would be??? The 400 has an attractive package that comes with a DX6i thats why im leaning that way because i do not have a good transmitter yet!

B400.
Simply put, the bigger the more stable. And you get the DX6i.

i just had to decide that and the man at my LHS and everyone on rcuniverse will tell u that the Blade 400 is simple a bettter deal, and it will also let you go farther with your skills, then with the SR. Get the 400!

Flight sim deffinetly makes you a better pilot. Best of all when you crash just reset and do it all over again with no repair bill. When learning to fly a flight sim is priceless. I own Phoenix as well and It is a very good sim imo. Good Luck and Enjoy.

RE: Blade SR or Blade 400???
Go for the Blade 400. Much more stable and less problematic than the Blade SR.
Go to the following site:
http://www.rchelicopterfun.com/index.html
Buy John Salt's eBook for taming the Blade 400 entitled: "Setup & Tips for 400 Size RCHelicopters".
He uses the Blade 400 and DX6i TX in all his examples. The section on changing the Blade 400 values for pitch curve, throttle curve, dual rate, and a host of other stuff really tames the Blade 400 down to the point where is acts and feels just like the Blade 400 in the Phoenix Simulation trainer software.
The Blade SRis a good little 300 series copter but it just has too many squirrely things that can pop up that make it particularly frustrating for a beginner and might leave some beginners misleadingly despondent and with the wrong impressions about the hobby in general.

RE: Blade SR or Blade 400???
Lots of great advice here...
+1 on the Blade 400 over the SR.
+1 on the sim. Priceless for learning to fly helis. Phoenix is the best heli sim, hands down.
Good luck with the new heli, whichever one you pick...but the deal with the radio on the B400 is a hard deal to beat...

The SR is actually an excellent helicopter for making the transition. I've read a review and have talked to lots of people who have flown them. It is surprisingly a decent helicopter for its price and class. The 400 will take you further, but for $200, the SR is a great deal.

I own both and can say that I like the 400 much more,
It is more stable but much quicker so it's not as forgiving as the SR for beginners such as myself

RE: Blade SR or Blade 400???
Dude just get the SR for now, I have one and haven't had any issues with it at all. It's a fun heli and IMO it would deff be a better next step from the MSR than the blade 400. The 400 might sound and look better but it's certainly not a beginners heli.
