Flight simulator?

Hi all, I have a question about flight simulator, do they help with learning to fly collective pitch heli's? I been flying the msr and 120sr for a few months and want to move up to collective pitch next is this a good way to go? And last question which one phoenix or real flight? Thanks</p>

RE: Flight simulator?

A simulator is definitely a good buy anytime. Flying the 120SR is not like flying a CP (e.g. Blade 400 or Trex 450) helicopter. These are much more sensitive and responsive to stick movement and don't like crashes or hard landings very much. I use both RealFlight G4.5 and Phoenix, and these days, I have been using Phoenix a bit more (mostly because of the models).
