RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
Hey, my Blade CPP wiggles alot before it lifts of of the ground. If you look at the very top of it, it moves back and forth a little bit. Does this effect the quality of the helicopter? And i was wondering how i could fix it without buying something new? Thanks for your help!:D

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
Are HS55 a direct replacment for the stock servos? I think I read someware you had to rewire them if you are using the stock radio.

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
Okay guys, I need help. I called Horizon Hobby and they said they never heard of this. I put the G90 on and everything worked great hovering around. Then I started to do some forward flying. I got about 15 feet up and the tail began to swing right and was completely unresponsive. I managed to get it down in one piece. Then the next day I put in a new tail motor, flew it, and it did the same thing.
Anyone else experience this? |

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
I have never done it, but yes the 55's should be a straight replacement. Power is always to the center on servos, the ground is on one side, and the signal is on the other side.... just make sure you plug them in the right way. I don't think you can blow anything if you plug them in the wrong way.. but I would doube and triple check before I did it. Just make sure the black plugs in on the same side as the old ones.
I don't know this either... but from what I hear the replacement parts for the 55 work in the e-flite sevros =P if that gives you any indication Also hitec and futaba use the same technology (negative shift) and so does the e-flite... that is why you can use a futaba TX with the stock Rx ORIGINAL: goplaneman Are HS55 a direct replacment for the stock servos? Well congrats on getting it down in one peice. The first few ideas I would have are try unhooking the g90 and see if it does the same thing. Make sure that the batteries in the Tx have good power. It is possible that you could have got another bad motor from the get go, but like you I would probably look other places first. Do you break your motors in? Sometimes the carbon brushes can crack and break off if they are not properly seated before you use them. Also check the tail wire for continuity and make sure it is plugged in all the way. If you've had a boom strike or something or pulled on the tail wire too hard you could have an on and off short (meaning that it works part of the time and doesn't work part of the time, or doesn't allow enough current through)
The other thing that is possible.... but I really hope not, is that somehow your 3 in 1 tail mosfet is toast. If you've had a crash, especially one where the tail rotor was stopped from spinning while it still had power to it... then this is a good possibility if you do not have the fuse mod. Most of the time just the mosfet goes bad, so if you know how to solder small IC's, order up one and solder it in =) Save lots of money compared to getting a whole new 3 in 1. That's just a couple of ideas I have to get you going ORIGINAL: Captain Randy Okay guys, I need help. I called Horizon Hobby and they said they never heard of this. RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
It could be one of two things really... either you are out of balance... or your mainshaft is bent. If it's balancing, just look that up somewhere because there are lots of guides on that (www.bladecprepair.com). The main way to tell if it is balance or a bent shaft is take the head off and spin up the chopper (you might also want to unplug the tail motor). If it wobbles around alot, then it is bent. To straighten it, take it off and find out where the bend is. Chuck it up in a drill down to the bend, and push in the opposite way just enough to bend it the opposite way so it's straight. Just keep doing this until you get it where you are satisfied. If you can't... the main shaft is only like $6 bucks =) or less if you have the auto rotation gear =)

They were no help to me. I disconnected the G90 and had no problems. (Why didn't I think of that.) Taking it back tomorrow. Thanks a bunch! |
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
ok i just got done putting the daul tail mod on and now the tail just spins
any clues? i have play with the 3n1 and that did not help |
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
THANKS! I will test those two things right now... Thanks again and i will probly ask you more questions if i have further problems!:D

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
Ummm, i can't get the bottom thing disconnected.... You know the thing that gets spun by the motor, that spins the main shaft...? Well, i need to take thta off to get th emainshaft out and i dont knwo how to. I dont want to force it off and risk breaking it, so could u tell me how to disconnect it? thanks!

You will have to pull your landing gear off to remove the main shaft. Unfortunate, but true. Karl |
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
i got my new tail and dual tail motors on looks great but its pretty heavy i had to put 28 grams in the front just to get it balanced.
i almost have the spinning under control but those dual motors really move some air wow. its been a pain to dail in but i think it will be worth it |
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
Thanks i found it. first my internet has been down for justover a week. my problem was the one of the pivots onthe bell heller was sticking had the screw in just allitle too tight. all is well now.:D
|
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
28 g's? shesh... how much does your dual tail system weigh? I would like to get a dual tail, and I was thinking about going with the cnc, but that's quite a bit of weight to be messing with. The person that I know who measured it said it was about 11g. Could you take some pics so I can see your setup? Thanks!

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
I have the dual tail and I cut about 1/2 " off the tail boom to helo withthe wieght issue. does no t seem to be bad enough to cause prblems but it is still a little tail heavy
|
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
ya its pretty heavy after you put the micro heli dual tail motor mount on add a motor plus the micro heli cf vertical fin on plus i put a alum. sleeve over the tail boom its a little weight.
tail boom works great though trying to dail the heli in with the new set-up i crashed about 4 times hit the boom each time still looks great. no broken booms . i also put the micro heli stainless steel spindle in after all crashes still good and they were some hard crashes |
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
tiger6 did you do the micro heli one? do you have heat sinks on your motors? and how do you like the dual motors sorry to ask so many ?s im new at the whole heli thing

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
im working on it
|
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
i had no idea how much work goes into setting up a heli, and keeping it flying right.
i cant figure mine out rebuilt it put new spindle and shaft in it and reset it to 12* pitch and now i can hover it for two min then it goes down to about 2 inches off the ground but when i hit full up it slows down? i thought it might be the batts but there new and when i put them on the charger they only take about 330 mh so the batery is getting a full charge and i tryed a new motor. i have no clue i think i may go back to paper airplanes;) |
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
hrm...
|
RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO
the batts are fine. what im saying is i charge the pack it takes 730-750 mh and then i fly the heli and it flys good for about 2-3 min and then drops like the batt. is dead. i put it on the charger and it only takes 330mn so its not drained all the way.and it does it on 2 differant packs.
i use the orion flight charger its like the multyplex charger it a pretty good charger and i am charging a 1c (.8a) i think it with the heli im just to new to find it i have a friend and his is doing the same thing. i thought it was the motor but i tryed a new one and it did the same thing |
