Eletric with Alerions????
Hello,
I am looking for an electric airplane that has wing alerions. Would probably need 4 servo's and a 4 channel radio. Does anyone have a suggestion where to find such a plane. And what company makes them. I have only been able to find 3 servo airplanes that have no wing alerions so far.
Thanks,
Troy

You could also try 1/2a conversions, i converted a house of bals chea pass to an electric using a great planes s600 direct drive with 30a esc, with a 7 cell 1500 mah pach and it flies great. the whole kit and power ran about 50 bucs, cant beat that.

You dont say how experienced you are. We've had a lot fun and got a lot of hours out of a Wattage Impress. Rudder and ele only. If you want to keep your budget down and gain good experience before moving on I reccomend it. Should be able to get it US, I think Wattage come from over there.
We went this route and one year on are flying freestlye IC power comps.
Good luck with the search, its all part of the enjoyment

SKYSCOOTER 2.. Hitec 3 channel, rudder- aileron- throttle. The foam plane is easly fixed WHEN you crash. Initial setup takes 2-3 hrs when watching a NASCAR race. If you have a wall charger, it will take longer to charge than to build. The initial charge from the inclosed charger, from the car battery, didn't give the batteries a full charge. In this, a volt meter is needed.

RE: Eletric with Alerions????
try the Watt-Age Crazy Max...Hobby People for around $40...will do very quick axial rolls going level or vertical, build it straight, watch your C.G., and it's a sweet flyer. will fly and land at a walking pace, makes it a very nice transition to ailerons. keep it above 40 feet at first (that's a four-story building high) and there's lots of recovery time. Have large fun! This little plane is a KICK! Excellent flight times, too. 9.6V, 800 maH gives me 12-15 minutes, but as i get used to the plane, i'm sure i can work that down to 8-10...yeeehHAAA!!

You need 4 channel radio. 3 servos is usually enough in small electrics.
I only have experience with GWS planes and they are good for the money. There are lots more out there. Open your eyes.

Take notice that that post asking for aileron electric plane was first posted almost 3 years ago. A lot has improved sence then. Brushless motors and lipoy batterys.
Today it would be hard to beat the Sig Kadet EP42 for beginners. I still have a good time with mine and its almost a year old. (Brushless motor upgraded) The Carl Goldberg Surge has ailerons as well as optional flaps and E flight also has something simalar for the experianced flyer.

Well I believe the RCU review of the parkzone typhoon suggested that it is a suitable 4 channel aeroplane for beginners (when using low rates), providing the person has had some experience with 3 channel planes.
