22/12/34 does fly it, but too little power, even though it is very light.

so a 22/08 is way too little

look at a mega 16/15/6 9x6 3s1p 2100 TP or the larger typhoon for a cheap yet powerful system.

Or use the HiMax 2025/5300 geared with TP 2100 3S. Nice!

I think the himaxx does better then the mega or typhoon. but with a proper grarbox it costs mote too.

as for the ultimate setup, Hacker B20 15L 4:1 3s2100

Thank you
I just happened to have this two items on hand, but reading your answers another question comes to mind.....How do i figure out what kind of motor to use in a particular plane?
Like the axi 220834 i just got, everywhere saids up to 17oz (like the formosa) but reading the instructions quotes that weight is for gliders and for scale or aerobatics go for the lower half of the range, I think is misleading.

I do have a HiMax 2025/5300 geared at 6.6:1 one but I am wondering maybe I should be using the 2025-4200??
I got he 5300 motor by mistake. I am thinking about exchange it for a 4200 or a outrunner motor because I am concerned about drawing too much current unnecessarily with 2025/5300 + 6.6:1 + 1060 or 9050 prop + 2100 3S1P combination.

How much current is consumed in your 5300 recommendation and what is the performance like with Formosa?

Thanks,
Ben Liu
