Default Need a quick question answered on Mini Ultra Stick!

I think I will pick one of these up tomorrow.

I have a question on the aileron setup Would you go a Y-Harness or put one of the servos on ch 6 reversed and mix? ( think this is the right question?) I have a 9CHP, and will get maybe a R146IP receiver? Will be getting the E-Flite S75 Servos.

Any other tips on what ot get with this are welcome!

I did not use the Y-harness, but let the radio do the mixing. This way I can use flapperons and aileron differental. But honestly it didn't need either. I wouldn't spend the extra $8 to $10 for a Y-harness when the radio will do the job for you.

Did you use extensions on each?

Thanks for the info.

another vote to use the radio. another nice thing is setting up trims, epa etc on each servo individually while setting up the plane.

Yes, I made up a 6" extension for each side to allow the servo leads to reach the RX.

I got the MUS today. Everything in the box looks great. A few control horns bent over a little, but no damage.

I am using the E-Flite PARK 450 BL OUTRUNNER MTR,890KV [EFLM1400]

I have a question. When puting this on the mount that comes with it, do you use Locktite on the 4 screws? Red or Blue?

The props I got for this (10 x 7 slow flyer) will not seat on the shaft so the collet will grip the motor shaft. I will have to drill them out.

You will have to drill out the slow flyer props. The prop we have come to love is our E-flite 10x8E prop (EFLP1080E). Works very well with teh 450 outrunner on this airplane.

Use blue locktite on the mount screws.

Enjoy.

I asked the owner of my LHS the same question about putting Locktite on the motor mount and he said since there is no vibration it's not necessary. I didn't use it and after around 20 flights, everything is still tight. I've got an E-Flite 450 outrunner on mine and it's a blast.

Would a Mini Ultra Stick be a good 2nd electric plane? I have covered all of the basics with a Hobbyzone Aerobird Challenger.

Thanks. By the way, what is the difference between an Outrunner brushless and an Inrunner brushless?

They're not GWS props are they? If they are, you can't drill them out, get APC. You shouldn't have to drill out APCs.
