Default Who wants a Pulse XT 25E?

Since the Mini Pulse owners club is well into it's 11th page and Pulses are popping up at club fields and parks all over the country, doesn't it seem a 25-32 version would make a good companion to the Ultra Stick 25E?

The Pulse is very simply a terific airplane. We know E Flite and Hangar 9 representatives cruise this forum, so let's make a little noise and see if we can get them thinking about this plane.

Yo, Hangar 9 and E Flite....if you build this plane you can take my order right now for two of them.

So somewhere between the Mini Pulse and the Pulse 40 as far as wingspan? Like a 50"?

The Ultra Stick 25E is 50 inches, so I think that would be about right.

Been following the mini pulse thread for a few weeks now. It sounds like a really nice flying plane and a good addition to any hangar.

I was thinking of buying one just for a cruiser - fun flying, but couldn't resist the 480 motor at my LHS. Now I just need the plane! At the moment there are a lot of planes around the 1m wingspan so its only kinda tempting, especailly as I have 3 planes waiting on my bench right now PLUS a new stryker 'c' with only 1 flight on it, a kit EDF nanojet (1 flight) and a extra300 (ready for maiden) waiting ready to go as well. Surely a 50" would just push me over that pychological barrier and I'd have to have one.

Count me in for 1 for sure

I was tempted to go after the Pulse XT 40 and turn it electric. But it was just a little too big and heavy. Something in the middleground would be very hard to pass up. I am definitely in for 1 .....which really means 2

I would think smaller than 50" span to perform on their 25BL motor. The ultrastick 25E on the 25 motor is not impressive.

Smaller than 50" would put it too close to the Mini Pulse XT to make it worth it for the manufaturer and the potential buyer. That is why you go with the Power 32BL

You're right about the Power 25, but the Ultra stick 25e is great on a power 32.

Yep, it is different on the 32, but then I have to buy new batteries (4s). [sm=cry_smile.gif]

Maybe, maybe not. I'm running the 3 cell 4200 pack and it's pretty good. It's not as impressive as a Mini with a 480, but it's still really good. I didn't know much about electrics when I built my Ultra Stick 25E, and I bought the 3 cells because I didn't know any better. Since I spent the money, I have to use the batteries until they are finished or I can sell them. Next time I will go with 4 cells, but the 3 cells are adequete. I've been told that the 32 will wake up the dead on a 4 cell pack.

The 25E is very nice with the 3 cell pack, but if you want something that's awesome I'de say 4 cells is the way to go. But, since you already have the 3 celllk packs, they will work acceptably.

Saw that yesterday. The weight is listed as heavier than the Ultrastick 25E.

Frankly I would like an extra 260 or sukhoi for the 25E. Hyperion has some planes that are close, and may work.

Just does not have the striking appeal and looks of the Pulse [sm=wink_smile.gif]

Did they start production on the Pulse XT 25E yet .......at least start on the plans right

No, it doesn't, but it has it's own charm. I'll probably have to have one as soon as I recover financially from building a big electric Pulse XT. The ESC is going to be $175 and the batteries are going to be $275 apiece! I'm also going to need new servos and a new charger.

I think we are sadly going to have to wait.......at the earliest. E Flite has it's plate full with the Diamante and P38 (gotta have one of those too). I suspect they will wait for Daimante sales to taper off a bit before they consider a Pulse 25E. The planes are just too similar. They are different, of course, but guys who want one will definately want the other and can't afford both at once.

.......at least start on the plans right ....
Those ought to take about 20 minutes. I swear, if you look at the Ultra Stick 25E, they must have taken the Mini plans down to Kinkos and had them shrunk! The planes are so identical (except for size) that it's almost comical. Why change what works?

I am putting a Pulse XT .40 together. Axi 4120/14, 13x10 APCe , Jeti Spin 55. Evo 20 4s 4400 pack. It is a little heavy, but looks great!

Please let me know what kind of run time you get. I'm probably going to get the 6000mah pack, but if I don't need it to get 12-15 minutes I would rather save the weight and money.

I have to say, the traffic here must be dead. The Pulse XT 25e has been announced and absolutely no traffic at all.

Can't say much about that area. Time will tell, of course I think it is safe to assume we will continue down our current path.
