Ive been flying on airtronic rds8000 for about a year now right as the bnf have been coming out,, the only issue ive been coming upon across is there are alot on bnf that are coming out that I like to purchase but my rds8000 isnt compatible with some of bind and flys. So I purchased a dx5e that works for some of the bind a fly. My question is what radio should I purchase so I can fly some of the bnf that require more channel and one that I can set up expos on?

For the Horizon birds, you would need a JR Spektrum tx, at least the 6i or better. At east this way you can run the new DSM2 2.4 and the old DSM1 2.4 version of Spektrum.
As you have found out the 2.4 systems are pretty proprietary, as in you cant use one manufacturers tx with another manufactures rx.
If you go Spektrum or Futaba or Hitec, etc, you'll have t stick with their rx's. Other then Spektrum, as Hobby King now offers a Spektrum clone.
