Default Radio System

Ok, I'm new on the R/C scene..."wet behind the ears". I have a J-3 Cub 25 ARF kit which is powered electrically. The kit calls out for a JR Sport 6-channel system. My dad used 90% Futaba systems and I can't talk to him anymore due to him passing. I was wondering if someone knew what would be an equivalent futaba system...servos, etc., that I can usefor this plane?
Thanks in advance

Being new in the scene I have another question. The J-3 kit 25 calls out for a Thunder Power Battery 4200 3S2P 11.1volt LiPo, 13 gauge. I've searched and found out that they go for about 120 bucks. They are also discontinued. So my question is......what battery can I get that compares to this and is a lot cheaper?
Thanks for any suggestions.
