Default back in the game

It has been many many years and i'm back to flying and at the decision point of electric/glow. I joined here in 2002, but seems i either lost my post count or never posted, i don't remember! Anyway, I have bought a few electrics to get up in the air quickly which is definitely a bonus, electrified a 30cc hanger 9 uglystick and have a 49" ef extra 260, but i find myself missing the glow experience in that the electric is almost clinical in that you go, fly, leave. There feels like something missing. Yes...do i really miss the clean up of glow...no but doesn't seem the same. I haven't figured out how to manage various battery sizes, quantities etc. ANyone else feel this and where did you "land"...did you continue your electric journey or move back to gas/glow?

I do both. Unfortunate glow is phasing out, many in my clubs fly glow along with electric. Hope it makes a come-back. Fuel is over $30/gal which is insane.

You just have to get into it and when you become more familiar with it your feelings will change.

Both are great. Very comfortable with electric and along with that comes a whole new set of safety measures. I learned from very safety conscious club members. I fly a Timber, an Apprentice and a small red and white Hobbyking Stick. Also a Conscendo glider and a Hobbico 3 ch Super Sport.
