Default FMA swtch's/Dangerous!!

Safety tip.......

Do not use FMA switch's in your models!! they have quality issues. They are not safe!!!!

A new heavy duty switch,....the first flight with this switch....... equals 30 seconds of flying just to of watch my heli tear itself apart......one week of replacing over $230.00 in parts.......no response from FMA .....Priceless!!!

The EXACT same thing happened to me too. It crashed my X-cell 60. Fortunately, the damage was light. But to have a crash from a switch failure is pathetic. Espescially when it's a "high end" "heavy duty" switch. NEVER trust an FMA switch.

I believe this i the one I had, or something similar anyway. It was a couple years ago that this happened.

Interesting. You would think that this switch would never fail.

If you still have the switch, I would send to FMA along with a description of your side of the story. I have found FMA to be very responsive to issues with their products. Perhaps they will also compensate your loss if they agree on the switch malfunction.

Good luck!

Switch failure is as common as a broken prop on a trainer! In electric flight most folks do not use a switch at all. Just un plug the battery. One less problem.

I wonder if this switch was made in China?

Have you seen the Super Rocker? I saw it on a Heli forum. It's VERY heavy duty, but maybe too heavy for your application. The people who make the Gem make it.

I purchased the FMA Co-Pilot And their Cheesy Switch broke because there is no mounting housing, or anyonther way to secure the cheap piece of Sh1t. When I emailed them to find the part Number to buy another switch. They replied "that I had to buy the FMA CO-Pilot again NO REPLACMENT PARTS very RUDE. I Will Never buy any thing from them.[>:]
Good LUCK
